Recently I posted on my Facebook group page how I have been exploring the use of AI software programs, namely ChatGPT and Wonder. The latter program is an art generator whose usage raises a lot of concerns amongst people who feel that it combs the internet for images that it then reassembles in a way that violates artist rights. Perhaps it is that slippery slope of new technology where the promise of ease and ability comes at the price of diminished compensation for people who do this for a living. I can only say that it would be time consuming and costly for me to commission an artist for the images I need to visualize some of the scenes in my book. However, if the AI art generator comes close to what I am looking for then I can use that image as the starting point for a paid artist to develop from.
